Corona Virus Symptoms

Corona virus is kind of common virus that causes illness in humans with infections in nose, sinuses or upper throat ranging from common cold to severe respiratory syndrome like Middle East Respiratory syndrome [MERS-CoV] and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome [SAR-CoV].

How long will the coronavirus last?

There’s no way to tell how long the pandemic will continue. There are many factors, including researchers’ work to learn more about the virus, their search for a treatment, the success of the vaccines, and the public’s efforts to slow the spread.

SYMTOMPS OF COVID-19:

  • Most Common Symptoms:
  1. Fever
  2. Cough
  3. Shortness of breath
  4. Fatigue
  • Less Common Symptoms:
  1. Body Aches
  2. Headache
  3. Loss of Smell or Taste
  4. Nausea
  5. Diarrhea
  6. Sore throat
  7. Chills, rarely with shaking

Impact of Respiratory Syndrome:

Some observations suggest that respiratory symptoms may worsen in the second week of illness. This appears to occur after around 8 days.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), about 1 in 5 people with COVID-19 become seriously ill.

These individuals can develop severe pneumonia or respiratory failure. They may require oxygen or mechanical ventilation.

Emergency symptoms:

Symptoms that should prompt an immediate visit to the emergency room (ER) include:

  • Difficulty breathing
  • Persistent chest pain or pressure in the chest
  • Confusion
  • Difficulty waking up or staying awake
  • Cyanosis, which causes blue lips or a blue face

The virus can lead to pneumonia, respiratory failure, heart problems, liver problems, septic shock, and death. Many COVID-19 complications may be caused by a condition known as cytokine release syndrome or a cytokine storm. This is when an infection triggers your immune system to flood your bloodstream with inflammatory proteins called cytokines. They can kill tissue and damage your organs.
